The setting for the game will be the Old World of Warhammer Fantasy, as shown in the provided map. Hello and welcome to this second wave of insanity which has gripped me hard enough to run yet another RP here on good old SB!Īs the title says, it is going to be an ISOT (for those unaware, ISOT has it so that elements from many different fictional settings are inserted into another setting in order to watch the interesting results).Īnd, as anyone who participated in or watched my last RP here is likely to expect, there will be a twist to the whole deal. Change that would serve to redirect the very flow of the river of history itself and shake the understanding people had of their world down to its very foundations.Īnd in the end, even dark gods may be found wanting. Change such as this world had never known it before. Without any responsibility claimed by the great manipulator, change was coming to the old world. Indeed, the Changer of Ways does delight in change erratic, blossoms in developments to tumultuous, interwoven and confounding that a mere mortal mind is hard pressed to fathom. Why, is not chaotic change the domain of that which must not be called by its true name? Is it not the Lord of Change who would gain the most from disorderly growth, does it not feed on the bedlam of progress? Even as noble rulers try to lead their subjects into a golden future do they stubbornly cling to old pillars of power, seeking to control change to ensure their immortality, if not in life, then in history.Īnd why not should one control change? Is it not the rulers prerogative to decide what is best for those they bear the heavy toll of responsibility for? Who, if not them, would be capable enough to know what is the right way? And why would they not, for change bears the unknown, always threatening the tear down the comfy walls of the status quo. Many fear it, even those who could benefit most from it. More constant even than conflict however is change. Yet no matter how man or god may try to take control of their own destiny, the struggle for survival remains as set as the inevitable march of progress. Some embrace it with open arms and heavy blades, others shun it behind stony walls, some mask its true nature in gilded halls. Every living being, caught in ceaseless struggle, against time, against nature, against its own kind. Wherever man or beast may tread, be it in the heart of civilisation or the ruins of savage lands, conflict will ever be ones constant companion. From the chivalrous lords of Bretonnia to the greenskin scum of the Badlands. From the bustling streets of Altdorf to the frozen tundra of Norsca. From the highest peaks of the World's Edge to the deepest pits of the Great Ocean.
